Creaking Clutch? Trouble shifting? This Might be the Problem...

Recently I've been hearing a nasty creak noise from my clutch after pressing it in.

Here is a view looking straight up at the pedal from the floor, The clutch pedal is at the bottom left, and the beautiful rusty-orange bar is the steering wheel shaft. The culprit is circled in red...

The bracket for the clutch assembly is broken! When pressing the clutch pedal with my hand, the entire assembly looked like it was loose due to the lack of support. I'm looking into this fix now, but will be removing the entire pedal and having someone weld it back on.
