2. Open your trunk hatch and squeeze the cover off the trunk light. You might want to disconnect your negative battery cable (I didn't).
3. Attach the red (positive) wire to the adapter slot marked with the + symbol. The ground wire goes into the other slot.
4. Plug the adapter into the bulb socket and see if the LED strip lights up...
5. Next, we need to secure the wires in place to keep the connection. I tightly wrapped electrical tape around the adapter and wires, making sure the LEDs stayed lit if the cables or LED strip was moved.
6. I ran the wire through the hole in the trunk's top to store excess wire. Alternatively, you could trim excess wire and solder it. Attach the LED wherever you prefer. That's all there is to it!
